Hey, guess what? There's nobody here named Melrose or Mel and Rose or whatever. The name comes from the companies early North American roots. In the 1900's the companies founders immigrated from Italy and settled in Melrose Park Illinois. Hence the Name! There, they continued a family tradition of manufacturing and displaying fireworks. Most shows were for religious festivals in and around the city, and usually little or no money changed hands. They considered it their small contribution to the festival and they loved the art and the thrill it provided the audience.
So fast forward to today. Yeah, there've been times when we wished we had a flashier name with a snazzy tag line like some of those other guys. In the end we decided to stick with the unassuming Melrose Pyrotechnics moniker and quietly, in our own under the radar style, built one of the largest fireworks entertainment companies in the world.
